Horizon is a camp based and built on group participation. The saying “It takes a village” rings true to our hearts. We sweat together, we build together, we love together and we play together. Work comes in many forms, some easy, some hard, but we do it together and it’s the labor of love! 

If you are looking for a turn key camping solution at Burning Man that you can just show up to and party it is not Horizon. We take great pride in the camaraderie and accomplishment shared as a collective when the work is done and everyone is celebrating together!  

Horizon has organically grown to offer a variety of creature comforts and must haves. The list below has been found to be most important for the overall experience of camp and for it’s communal offering to everyone at Burning Man. Horizon is 100% camper funded and has never had an investor controlling what it chooses to offer and supply, it’s just what has made the most sense! We are always evolving and are open minded to hear new suggestions from both Veteran Horizonites and new first time Burners. Improvements, constructive criticism, creative ideas or new elements for coming years are always appreciated after each Burn.
